Teddi Mellencamp is getting real with her followers about what cancer treatment is really like.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum took to her Instagram account on Wednesday, June 24, with a video showing herself lying down.
“Oh yeah, this is what recovery looks like. One day, I’m hopping around doing a million things, and then the next day, I am shaking so bad I can barely get up the stairs. My anxiety is a 10,” she tearfully posted to Instagram Stories.
Mellencamp, 44, added that her hands were “so shaky” from a new medication that was added to her cancer treatment on Monday, June 22, that she had to “use both hands” to hold her phone.
“I guess it’s just hitting me really weird,” she said of the new medication, which she did not share the name of.
The mother of three also said the shakiness may affect her voice, so she informed her pal Tamra Judge that she may “have a lot to work with today” when they record their podcast, Two Ts In A Pod.
Later, Mellencamp shared an online screenshot listing the common side effects of her cancer treatment, which included weight gain, akathisia (an inner sense of restlessness or feeling like you constantly need to move), headache, dizziness and common cold symptoms.

“Wow. This is a blast,” Mellencamp wrote sarcastically.
Mellencamp has been documenting her cancer journey for the past few years. The podcaster revealed her stage two melanoma diagnosis in October 2022.
She’s undergone more than a dozen surgeries since, including an emergency procedure in 2025 to remove multiple tumors found in her brain.
In October 2025, Mellencamp said scans showed no detectable cancer in her body, though she has continued treatment as part of her path to officially reach remission.

Earlier this month, Mellencamp spoke to Cure Today about her cancer journey, sharing that before her diagnosis she was “run down.”
“Finally my body had to tell me you need to slow down, listen to your body, and take care of yourself. It doesn’t mean that you are weak because you need to slow down one day, or it doesn’t mean you’re weak because you’ve got to lay in your bed, and it doesn’t mean you’re weak because you can’t go to that event you were hoping you’re going to go to. It solely means you’re listening to who you are and where you’re at,” she said in the interview, shared to her Instagram.
Mellencamp has three children with her estranged husband, Edwin Arroyave.
