Joy Behar has officially sold her Hamptons home, but not for nearly the amount she was hoping to get.
The View cohost, 83, closed the sale on Friday, August 28, after nearly two years on the market.
Behar purchased the Sag Harbor, New York, dwelling in 2016 for $4.75 million. According to online records viewed by First For Women, a buyer paid $5.65 million for the estate — a staggering $5.3 million less than Behar’s original asking price of $10.95 million when the property hit the market in November 2024.

The estate, which was originally constructed in 1903, is said to feature 4,500 square feet of living space and 4.5 bedrooms.
Before the sale, Behar’s asking price underwent five price adjustments. After initially being listed at $10.95 million, it dropped to $8.995 million, then $7.995 million, $6.95 million and $5.95 million. The asking price was later raised slightly to $6.995 million.
In 2021, Behar opened up about the Victorian-style home, admitting to Behind The Hedges that she is a “house hopper,” and adding: “When I see it, I want it.”
Behar has not publicly shared why she decided to sell her East End property. She continues to cohostThe View, which films in New York City.
