Joy Behar is getting candid about the effort it takes to maintain her youthful appearance at 83 — while also shutting down one persistent plastic surgery rumor.
During the Wednesday, May 20 episode of The View‘s Behind the Tablepodcast, the longtime cohost admitted she’s no stranger to cosmetic upkeep and joked that staying camera-ready requires far more maintenance than fans may realize.
“I’ve told everybody, I’ve had Botox,” Behar shared during the podcast conversation with executive producer Brian Teta.
The comedian also admitted she gets “Restylane to fill in” certain areas of her face and joked that maintaining her signature red hair takes serious upkeep.
As for the one procedure she insists she hasn’t had?
“Everybody thinks I’ve had a facelift. I have not had a facelift,” Behar declared.

The outspoken View star also stressed that looking polished requires work, not luck, and lots of hair appointments, adding that, “Just yesterday, I had a dye job, a highlight job and a keratin treatment.”
“You have to do things,” she explained. “Everybody thinks you look good because you’re naturally that good. You’re not.”
Behar even weighed in on aging in Hollywood, arguing that men often overdo cosmetic work.
“When they start with the Botox and the eyelid surgery and the hair dye, they look ridiculous!” she joked.
