Sherri Shepherd has something to say to critics coming for her fashion choices.
In a recent interview with Hello Beautiful, the 59-year-old talk show host responded to those who think her fashion choices should be toned down as she ages.
“You tell me, ‘You’re not supposed to be wearing that, Auntie.’ Yes, I am, and yes, I will,” Shepherd declared.
Touching on her summer wardrobe, Shepherd said she loves wearing bright colors, big gold jewelry, heels and more.
“I love gold jewelry, big jewelry, big clunky stuff,” she added. “I love the heels, the boots. I’m really into so much. All the things.”
And she loves flaunting her legs, with Shepherd telling the outlet they’re beautiful and she has every intention of showing them off.
“I love my beautiful legs, and I go out, and I show them legs off,” Shepherd said. “Yes, I don’t care.”
The TV personality also opened up about her love of switching up her look with different wigs and the criticism she’s faced for doing so.

“I don’t wear it because I’m trying to be something I’m not,” she added. “I wear it because I’m a Black woman, and I like things different. I like adventure. I love to try new things.”
Shepherd is no stranger to speaking about her appearance over the years. She most recently confronted her looks as she ages in an August 2025 post on Instagram, in which she revealed that a doctor recommended that she undergo a facelift.
The Think Like a Man actress, who went makeup-free in the video, shot that suggestion down, telling her followers in the caption: “This world doesn’t honor the beauty that comes from age and living a full life.”
She continued, “The lines around my mouth are deep because of the laughter from my soul… my eyes are droopy because of the weight of tears I have shed. I have two chins because I have had to hold up anxiety, worry & beautiful memories. My lips turn downward, but they quickly turn upwards with joy. My nose gets fuller every year because I need to breathe in a lot of peace.”
Shepherd also noted that the doctor recommended she get fillers to refresh her appearance — an offer she also said she was passing on.
“I think for right now, I am loving me just as I am. A warrior,” Shepherd added.
