Ricki Lake Shares Before-and-After Facelift Photos, Says She ‘Took a Leap of Faith’

Ricki Lake is getting candid about getting plastic surgery.

On Saturday, July 18, the former talk show host, 57, marked two years since undergoing a facelift and showed off the results on Instagram.

“Happy 2 year anniversary to me,” she captioned the post, which included side-by-side photos of her before and after the procedure as well as other pictures with her surgeon.

“Yes, 2 years ago today, I had a face lift,” she wrote. “Specifically, for those wondering, I had a deep plane lower face and neck lift along with a mild co2 laser.”

The Hairspray actress said her surgeon, Dr. Allen Foulad, made the experience “a wonderful one” and called her results “remarkable, natural, and long-lasting.”

Opening up about why she decided to undergo a facelift, she explained, “Back in 2023, I had lost 40 lbs over the course of a year, and did not like the extra skin that hung from below my chin. It was never going to tighten up by itself.”

“I took a leap of faith and I’m so grateful I did,” Lake wrote. “I am also very glad to see so many people over these past couple of years opening up about their own plastic surgery journeys. The last two pics are recent and without makeup or filter.”

The mother of two — who shares sons Milo Sebastian Sussman, 29, and Owen Tyler Sussman, 25, with ex-husband Rob Sussman — previously opened up last year about getting the cosmetic work done.

“Trust me, when I tell you, I still felt extra cute and loved myself regardless, especially after working so hard to get in the best shape of my life,” wrote Lake, who has been open about her weight throughout the years, on Instagram.

“This procedure was the icing on the cake,” she said. “One year later, I look back on my brave choice and consider it one of the best decisions I ever made for myself.”

“I share with all of you, as I am an open book and always will be,” she said.
