Kelly Ripa Welcomes Fans Into Her Bed Amid Recovery From Gum Surgery
Kelly Ripa shared an update with fans from her bed as she recovers from her recent gum surgery.
Ripa, 55, took to social media on Wednesday, August 19, to share a clip of herself lounging in bed in jeans and a sweater. The camera then flashed to her podcast producers, Jan Schillay and Albert Bianchini, who were propped up in the same bed.
“I am so sleepy. I’m extra comfortable today because Jan, Albert, and I are in bed together,” the talk show host said. “That’s right, dear listeners. It’s gone there.”
“We are in bed together, and we are happy as clams. We are so comfortable,” Ripa continued. “Although, Albert’s on my side, so he’s roasting.”
The former soap opera star has been missing from her hosting gig at Live! With Kelly and Mark since undergoing gum graft surgery last month. Her husband, Mark Consuelos, has been joined with a rotation of guest hosts including Kevin Jonas, Mila Kunis and Scott Foley.
Following her procedure, Ripa was instructed by doctors not to talk or eat solid foods during her recovery. She is expected to return to her morning show for the season 39 premiere on September 8.
