As seen on NBC’s Today Show, the KNOWHEN® Saliva Test has gained groundbreaking momentum as an innovative alternative to traditional ovulation trackers. Its unique functionality detects biological changes in the saliva rather than hormones in the urine, providing fast and accurate testing without the reliance on additional chemicals or even needing to enter a bathroom. Today, KNOWHEN® takes it a step further, introducing its newest development in the form of a seamless mobile application: the KNOWHEN® Fertility Monitor 2.0 App.

Initially launched in 2013 as (a revolutionary) the first-of-its-kind fertility monitoring application and ovulation device, the newest version is designed to help users navigate each stage of their ovulation cycle, track their history, and gather a greater understanding of their body’s natural processes. Users can better understand their overall health and evaluate the best time to see a doctor or take the next steps in their fertility journeys.

Helen Denise, the founder and CEO, comments: “The most amazing part of the whole concept is that all the answers exist within us – it’s just the natural phenomenon of female anatomy. Through our saliva, we hold the key to unlocking a realm of new possibilities and gaining life-changing knowledge about our reproductive health. All women are as unique as their cycles, so having the option to access testing at home and track ovulation on our new app opens the door to a truly empowering experience.”

According to a US clinical study published in 2015, the presence of a ferning pattern found in the saliva (where high levels of estrogen are detectable) directly correlates to ovulation, showing similarities with transvaginal ultrasound examinations and blood tests. In recent years, salivary diagnostics have become the subject of leading scientific research, evolving into a sophisticated subset of the larger field of molecular diagnostics.

Helen adds: “The KNOWHEN® testing kit is a reusable device, and when paired with the app, it makes ovulation tracking easy and natural. The kit can even be utilized from the comfort of your bedroom, requiring just a drop of saliva on the supplied slide, first thing in the morning. Once dry, you can use the mini-microscope provided in the kit to observe the presence of this fern-like pattern. If it matches with the sample provided, that’s the indication that ovulation is occurring.”

The KNOWHEN®  ovulation kit is completely safe to use, non-invasive, and provides instant results. The testing device is reusable with no need for a refill, does not require a urine sample, and is not affected by room temperature.

Helen continues: “In the wider context, saliva testing is a revolutionary development in contemporary healthcare, seen in a range of different applications like disease analysis and even COVID-19 testing. Regarding ovulation, many are surprised to learn that such a simple test could let you know your chances of becoming pregnant on any given day – by informing you when your most fertile windows begin and end.”

Now pairing its popular testing kit with modern technology, the KNOWHEN® Fertility Monitor 2.0 App is an accurate and affordable new development, enabling women to record ovulation and fertility cycles effortlessly over their lifetimes. Users can track sexual activity and log menstruation on a secure and reliable server – not built using algorithmic projections but instead, with individualized real-time data. Moreover, the device can indicate irregularities in ovulation cycles, which could be a sign of broader health conditions, preventing conception.

“It’s the 21st century,” says Helen. “Women across the United States can finally stop guessing and reclaim autonomy over their bodies. I learned about saliva testing around 25 years ago and took control over my personal fertility, changing my life ever since – and now you know the secret too.”

As KNOWHEN® announces the official launch of its Fertility Monitor 2.0 App, the organization invites women across the region to revolutionize the way they approach their reproductive health. The application is a well-suited addition to the company’s existing product range, representing a suite of services that seek to transform women’s lives and inform their chances of successful conception.
