Sharon Stone Confesses She’s Been Celibate for ‘Quite a While,’ Looking for a ‘Companion’

Sharon Stone is waiting for the right man.

Stone, 68, revealed during her Tuesday, September 8, appearance on Mayim Bialik‘s Breakdown podcast that she has been celibate for “quite a while.”

“I’m a really good girlfriend, but I haven’t been a girlfriend in a long time,” the Basic Instinct star said. “And I’ve been a girlfriend to bad boyfriends, and I’ve been a girlfriend to good boyfriends. I’ve had good luck and bad luck and no luck at all.”

She continued, “For quite a long time I’ve had no luck at all. I’ve been celibate for quite a while now.”

According to Stone, she’s looking for something serious before getting intimate with a partner.

“I just am at the point where I really only want to be with someone that I care for,” she said. “Now that my kids are grown, I want someone that’s my companion.”

Stone — who was previously married to journalist Phil Bronstein from 1998 to 2004 and producer Michael Greenburg from 1984 to 1990 — added that she doesn’t “think” she’s had the “great love” of her life yet.

“I’m in the no luck at all phase right now, but I think that that’s the phase you need to be willing to be in to have the thing that I really want,” she explained.
