Ellen DeGeneres Was Hospitalized After a Bad Fall
Poor Ellen DeGeneres!
Poor Ellen DeGeneres! The comedian revealed on her daytime talk show that she recently made a trip to the hospital after taking a fall right into a door.
Thankfully, the hilarious host will be just fine, but she is still recovering from a dislocated finger. So naturally, being Ellen, she just had to poke a little fun at herself about her accident on her own show.

“So, you know how in gymnastics when you do a one-handed cartwheel and you have to spread the weight evenly between all your fingers? Well, I had two glasses of wine and fell into a door,” she said to her audience.
She explained that she was coming home from a dinner party and was almost at her front door when it happened.
“The dogs were so excited to see us and I caught the lip of the top step,” she said. “I was a foot away from the door and I fell into the door and it did something to my finger, I knew something was wrong.”
She then shocked her audience by showing them all a photo of her finger, followed by an X-ray–both a little difficult to look at.
“I dislocated my finger,” she said. “That’s what they call it, which is an incorrect term because I knew where it was located. It was just wrongly located is what it was.”
Though she does have to wear a splint for the time being, it’s good to hear that she didn’t break her finger at all and it should be on the way to healing properly.
