Demi Moore is switching things up in the beauty department.
The Substance star, 63, debuted a noticeably shorter hairstyle while walking the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival on Thursday, May 21, turning heads with a glamorous shoulder-length look instead of her signature long locks.
According to Page Six, Moore unveiled the fresh style during the premiere of La Bola Negra, where she wore her dark hair in soft, loose waves that barely grazed her shoulders.

The shorter hairstyle also highlighted the dazzling diamond necklace she wore around her neck, which, per the outlet, reportedly featured more than 156 carats of lab-grown diamonds.
Though fans immediately buzzed about the apparent haircut online — with one writing on Instagram, “Love it!!! So youthful and perky!” — the transformation may only be temporary.
Back in February, the actress pulled a fast one when she debuted a temporary short and wet bob hairstyle at Gucci’s FW26 Fashion Show during Milan Fashion Week.

Moore has previously spoken about being protective of her famously long hair and admitted earlier this year that she has little interest in making a dramatic chop permanent.
“I’m protective of the length,” Moore told People in January. “At the end of the day I love taking it down seeing my hair fall past my waist.”
The Oscar nominee is currently serving as a jury member at this year’s Cannes Film Festival and has delivered several standout fashion moments throughout the event.
