“He just did such a great job, and he just decided to do it because he felt like he just couldn’t not try,” Caroline gushed. “I admire that so much.”
Meanwhile, Ed, 80, compared his son to JFK while talking to People on election night.

“Jack is able to focus his attention on how to explain how important it is to have people in the government who really want to serve and work for the people. And so many miss that idea,” Ed told the publication. “Jack was absolutely committed to that, in the same way his grandfather was.”
“It’s so thrilling for me, that he was able to get a great education, and then want to do something for the people,” he added. “That’s very moving for me.”
As for Jack, he referenced a quote from his grandfather’s 1961 inaugural speech telling the crowd, “All of us asked not what our country can do and what we can do to help our city,” per The New York Times.
