Bobby Flay has something big cooking — and this time, it’s not just dinner.

The beloved celebrity chef revealed on the Monday, April 13 episode of his podcast, Bobby on the Beat, that he’s gearing up to film a brand-new series for Food Network. And while he kept the specifics under wraps, his enthusiasm was hard to miss.

“I can’t really tell you what it is, but it’s going to be, I think, the quintessential Food Network show,” Flay, 61, told podcast guest Heather Graham.

Flay shared that the new series will center on professional cooking and offer viewers a behind-the-scenes look at what it really takes to work in a restaurant kitchen. He described it as a show that will answer the question of how chefs and cooks actually do their jobs in the restaurant business — something he’s clearly passionate about after decades in the industry.

The project isn’t a spur-of-the-moment idea either. Flay revealed he’s been developing the concept for roughly three years.

The fresh endeavor adds to an already packed slate for Flay on Food Network, where he currently hosts Beat Bobby Flay, Bobby’s Triple Threat, and BBQ Brawl.

Speaking of which — BBQ Brawl returns for its seventh season on May 11 with a fun twist. Flay’s girlfriend, chef Brooke Williamson, is stepping out of the judges’ chair and into the role of team captain.

Flay explained the shift during an interview with People in February, noting that Williamson had always wanted to cook on the show rather than judge. But now that the two are a couple — they began dating in March 2025 — judging each other was off the table.

“She’s becoming one of the captains on BBQ Brawl, so I have to actually compete against her,” Flay dished. “And she, as you might imagine, is very competitive, so she’s tough to beat.”

Flay’s love life has been well-documented. He was previously married three times — first to chef Debra Ponzek, then to Kate Connelly, the mother of his daughter Sophie, and most recently to Law & Order: SVU actress Stephanie March. His marriage to March ended in 2015, a decade before he began dating Williamson.
