Meet the Cast of ‘The Paper’—See Who Will Star In ‘The Office’ Spinoff Mockumentary Premiering This Fall

“Everybody, stay calm!” The Office is getting a spinoff and it’s one you won’t want to miss. The new series is titled The Paper and will be set in the same universe as Dunder Mifflin and its employees. The new mockumentary style show will feature a documentary crew on the hunt for a new subject when they happen upon a dying historic newspaper in Toledo called The Truth Teller, as its employees try to bring it back.

The series is set to premiere on Peacock in September 2025 and will have an exciting cast, including one member from The Office. Meet the stars of the upcoming sitcom and find out where you’ve seen them before. 

Domhnall Gleeson

The Irish actor, Domhnall Gleeson, will be starring in The Paper. You may recognize him as Bill Weasley in the Harry Potter franchise, as well as from the romance film About Time (2013) and Peter Rabbit (2018).

Gleeson appeared at NBC’s Upfront, explaining, “We are three members of a wonderful ensemble cast of underdog characters that are banding together to keep journalism alive. My character has the unwavering optimistic belief that he can turn The Truth Teller to the glory of its heyday.” 

Sabrina Impacciatore 

Italian actress Sabrina Impacciatore will star in the series alongside Gleeson. She is best known for her role as Valentina in Season 2 of The White Lotus.

Oscar Nuñez 

Nuñez will be returning to the universe of The Office, reprising his role of Oscar Martinez. He starred on the series for its entirety from 2005 until 2013, but you might also recognize the actor from The Proposal (2009), Baywatch (2017) or The Lost City (2022).

Nuñez also shared his thoughts on the upcoming project. He said, “I told Mr. Greg Daniels that if Oscar came back, he would probably be living in a more bustling, cosmopolitan city. Greg heard me and he moved Oscar to Toledo, Ohio—which has three times the population of Scranton.”

Chelsea Frei will join the ensemble of the sitcom, and you may recognize her from Sideswiped (2018), The Moodys (2019-21), or The Life List (2025). Other cast members of The Paper will include Melvin Gregg, Gbemisola Ikumelo, Alex Edelman, Ramona Young, and Tim Key. The sitcom will also have guest stars Eric Rahill, Duane Shepard Sr., Allan Havey, Nate Jackson, Mo Welch, Nancy Lenehan, Molly Ephraim, and Tracy Letts. 

Created by Greg Daniels and Michael Koman, The Paper will be executively produced by Ricky Gervais, Stephen Merchant, Howard Klein, Ben Silverman, and Banijay Americas.
