Heidi Gardner has taken spoiling her cats to an entirely new level.

The 43-year-old comedian and actress, who spent eight seasons on Saturday Night Live, makes sure her three feline companions are living their best lives, which includes private sound baths, according to a People report published Wednesday, September 9.

The unusual relaxation ritual began last summer. Gardner’s friend and cat sitter, Joanie, who performs sound baths for people, started doing sessions for the cats while Gardner was away and sent her four-minute videos featuring “the chimes and the bowls,” Gardner said, per the report.

The felines — John Ross Jr., Lil Romeo and 7-month-old Wish Bear — get the true star treatment. According to the outlet, the Shrinking star described John Ross Jr., a Tonkinese, as her “total” lounge cat, while Lil Romeo is a shy “mama’s boy” she can still “cuddle and hold like a baby.” Wish Bear came with his name already attached. “He was named after a Care Bear,” Gardner said, according to the outlet. “I was like, ‘I can’t change that. It’s too cute.'”

The sound bath was especially meaningful because one of Gardner’s cats is blind. “[It was] a different sensory experience for me to watch her have,” Gardner said, per the outlet. “So that was really special.”

But that’s hardly the only way that she goes the extra mile for her four-legged friends. According to the article, the Scary Movie actress has driven across the country with the cats on multiple occasions. She initially chose driving because she thought it might be less disorienting than flying for her blind cat. Eventually, however, the road trips became something she did “just for fun,” she said, per the report.

Even an ordinary meal can get special treatment in Gardner’s house. People reported that she purchased “a lot of different beautiful plates or slow feeders” for her cats. In fact, she joked that she plates their meals “probably better than I would do for loved ones at this point.”
