Erin Napier Shares Inside Look at Summer Travels With Family, Reflects on Daughter Starting Kindergarten

Erin Napier has been soaking up summer with her husband Ben Napier and their daughters!

On Sunday, July 26, the HGTV star, 40, posted an Instagram carousel captioned, “Summer 2026: Beaches and Boston and Big Ben and bell peppers 🇺🇸,” where she shared sweet snaps of the family’s adventures, which included heading out East to Boston.

In one photo, Ben, 42, smiles as he stands next to his and Erin’s daughters Helen, 8, and Mae, 5, who are feeding some ducks. Other snaps include the children watching 4th of July fireworks from a window, her and Ben on a boat with friends, them at a restaurant, and more.

Last week, the Home Town host posted a photo of her walking on the beach with her daughters. In the caption, she reflected on when Helen started kindergarten and compared it to Mae’s experience now that she and Ben are homeschooling her kids.

“Mae is about to start kindergarten. The night before Helen went to kindergarten, I drove to the store after she was in bed to get bacon for her special breakfast the next day,” Erin recounted. “I turned on the song we listened to coming home from the hospital when she was born and cried so hard I couldn’t catch my breath, feeling her babyhood ending with such finality.”

“I called my mama who laughed, because she didn’t have any memory of my first day of kindergarten,” she continued.

“The great upside to homeschooling is I don’t have that feeling at all this time. We bought her school supplies and she was giddy putting those Ticonderogas and a 3 ring binder in the buggy,” Erin noted. “I’ll be there when she reads a sentence for the first time and she’s so excited to read a book on her own soon. We’ve figured out how to slow down the clock and savor these little years.”

As First For Women previously reported, Erin shared her homeschooling routine on Instagram in April, explaining that she and Ben divvy up the subjects, noting, “We hope to do this for as long as it serves the girls, and someday send them to high school.”
