Christina Dietze is competing in the Miss Universe Australia pageant later this year.
At 38 years old, Dietze will become the oldest woman to compete for the crown in the pageant’s history. Dietze’s involvement comes just three years after the Miss Universe Organization lifted its age restriction.
Prior to 2023, contestants had to be single women between 18 and 28 years of age to compete in pageants. The age maximum was lifted, but competitors still must be over the age of 18.
“Secret is out guys!! I’m beyond excited to share with you all that l have been selected as @missuniverseaustralia.official Victoria State Finalist for 2026,” Dietze shared via Instagram on Monday, February 9, as she announced her participation.

“This timing feels so aligned with the woman I am today and finding out was such an honour, I haven’t been able to wipe the smile off my face since I was selected,” she continued. “I couldn’t feel more blessed.”
Miss Universe Australia 2026 will be crowned in August. The winner will go on to represent Australia in the global Miss Universe pageant.
